Abstract

Recruiting, training, retaining, and managing a unified, focused, and active Board of Directors is essential to the successful and continued operation of any nonprofit organization (NPO). This paper summarizes some of the components of Board development and management for wildlife rehabilitation operations, home or center based.

Kip Parker is the Executive Director of the Cataraqui Archaeological Research Foundation in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and provides wildlife rehabilitation consulting services to rehabilitators, business, and governments across North America.
