Abstract

The development of a successful formal wildlife educational outreach program is contingent on many factors. As important as punctuality, dress, preparation, and educational aides are to the totality of a wildlife educational outreach program, it is the message communicated that is the breadth and soul of the program.

Jeannie Lord, Pine View Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Center

Jeannie Lord has a Masters degree in education, taught in the Milwaukee, WI school system for 15 years, and specializes in wildlife outreach programs as Director of Pine View Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Center. She was on the NWRA board of directors and is co-editor of Introduction to Wildlife Education Programming: Tips & Techniques for Better Presentations.
