Author Biography

Robert J. Rudd, Wadsworth Center New York State Department of Health

Robert J. Rudd has worked at the New York State Rabies Diagnostic Laboratory for 35 years, starting as an Animal Caretaker in the research study that launched Oral Rabies Vaccination efforts throughout the world. In 2001 he became the Director of the Rabies Laboratory. His research interests include bat rabies epizootiology and pathogenesis along with the improvement of rabies diagnostic techniques.
